Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 April 2026 · Invite-only beta

PodSplit is operated by Overdigital ("we", "us"). It is currently an invite-only beta service that helps you turn your podcast videos into vertical short-form clips. By using PodSplit you agree to these terms.

1. Beta status

PodSplit is in early beta. Service may be unavailable, slow, or buggy. Output quality is not guaranteed. We may change, restrict, or terminate features at any time without notice. Don't depend on PodSplit for time-critical work.

2. Your content and rights

You may only submit YouTube URLs for content that you own, have a license to process, or that is otherwise permitted under applicable copyright law (e.g. fair use, fair dealing). When you submit a URL, you affirm that you have the right to do so and you indemnify Overdigital against any third-party claims arising from your submission.

We do not check the rights status of submitted URLs. If a copyright holder asks us to take down processed output, we will comply (see DMCA section below) and may suspend your account.

3. Acceptable use

We may suspend access for any of the above without warning.

4. Output ownership

You own the rendered clips PodSplit produces from your source material, subject to the underlying copyright on the source. Overdigital claims no ownership of your output but reserves the right to display the "podsplit.overdigital.ai" watermark on every export during the beta.

5. YouTube

PodSplit retrieves source video via yt-dlp from publicly-accessible YouTube URLs you submit. We are not affiliated with YouTube or Google. YouTube's own terms apply to your use of YouTube; if your use of yt-dlp on a particular video is not permitted under YouTube's terms, that's between you and YouTube.

6. Storage and deletion

Source files, proxy renders, and final exports are stored on our infrastructure for processing. We aim to delete all files associated with a job within 7 days of job completion. You can request earlier deletion at any time by emailing the address below.

7. Privacy

We collect only what is required to run the service: your gateway login (email/username), the URLs you submit, the timestamps of your jobs, and basic operational logs. We do not sell, share, or surface your data to third parties beyond the infrastructure providers strictly required to deliver the service (Cloudflare, our VPS host, our email sender, and Google for video retrieval). We do not use your transcripts or output to train models.

8. Liability

The service is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Overdigital is not liable for any damages arising from your use of PodSplit, including but not limited to lost time, lost revenue, copyright claims arising from your submissions, or output quality issues.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact

Questions, takedown requests, or account issues: [email protected] (a dedicated address will land before public launch).
